Sheehey Furlong & Behm is delighted to announce the hiring of three associate attorneys this fall: Bridget Brett, Maria Gamache, and Lotta Lampela.
Bridget Brett
Bridget joins Sheehey after working as a summer associate for the firm in 2024. Bridget graduated summa cum laude from Bucknell University with a B.A. in Literary Studies, Public Policy, and Education, and cum laude from Suffolk University Law School with a J.D. and as a Trustee Scholar. Bridget was awarded the highly competitive Trustee Scholarship based on her outstanding academic achievement.
Maria Gamache
Maria joins the firm’s litigation team. Maria graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Public Communication, and magna cum laude from Albany Law School with a J.D. and as a member of the honorary legal society of Justinian. Maria has experience in both plaintiff and defense-side litigation. She has contributed to enforcement at the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General, employment defense in front of the National Labor Relations Board, criminal defense at the Chittenden County Public Defender’s Office, and plaintiff-side health care litigation at Vermont Legal Aid.
Lotta Lampela
Lotta joins the firm’s transactional team after spending almost two decades in senior government positions in national security and diplomacy in Europe. Lotta began her legal journey in the United States with an LL.M. from Syracuse University College of Law. Prior to joining Sheehey, she served the Vermont Superior Court as a judicial law clerk in Orange and Washington Counties. Originally trained as a lawyer in her native Finland, Lotta is working toward eligibility to sit for the Vermont Bar exam.
