Sheehey Furlong & Behm P.C. is pleased to announce that Francis J. DiMora has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Francis’s practice will focus on civil and criminal litigation.
Francis joins Sheehey after practicing law in Maine, where he clerked for Chief Justice Valerie Stanfill (Maine Supreme Judicial Court) and Chief Judges Lance E. Walker and Jon D. Levy (United States District Court for the District of Maine), and worked for a leading New England firm litigating civil matters and supporting clients in financial distress.
Francis earned a B.A. in Political Science and Romance Languages and Literatures from Boston College, and a J.D. from Vermont Law School. During law school, Francis interned for Chief Justice Paul L. Reiber of the Vermont Supreme Court and Judge Peter W. Hall of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Prior to his legal career, Francis spent nearly a decade in Washington D.C. and abroad working on foreign assistance programs funded by international donors including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID), and the World Bank.
Francis and his wife, Emily, live in Calais, VT, where you’ll find them hiking or cross-country skiing with their dog, Sal.
