Sheehey Furlong & Behm P.C. joined law offices across the state in the 10th Annual Vermont Legal Community Fighting Hunger Food and Diaper Drive, which ran from Friday, September 4th through Friday, September 18th. The “Behm Team” raised $4,577 for the Vermont Foodbank and filled our library with donated items, including diapers, baby wipes, infant formula, and shelf-stable food.
The drive is organized through the Attorney General’s Office in partnership with the Vermont Foodbank, the Vermont Bar Association, and the Vermont Paralegal Organization, and is held each September during Hunger Action Month. In announcing this year’s drive, Attorney General Charity Clark said no Vermonter should have to wonder where their next meal will come from or whether they can afford basic necessities for their family, and noted the effort is especially critical as families face rising food prices and proposed cuts to federally funded food and nutrition programs. Sheehey has supported this effort since its inception, raising tens of thousands of dollars and delivering hundreds of items to the food shelf. Thank you to everyone who gave!
