Sheehey is pleased to announce that partner Kevin A. Lumpkin has been appointed to the Vermont State Ethics Commission as a commissioner from the Vermont Bar Association.
The Vermont State Ethics Commission is a non-partisan, independent state agency that accepts, reviews, refers, and tracks complaints related to ethical conduct in state and municipal government, and provides ethics advice and training to public officials across Vermont.
Kevin brings substantial experience in professional responsibility to the role. He regularly participates in Vermont’s Professional Responsibility Program, representing attorneys and also serving as Special Disciplinary Counsel and Special Screening Counsel. He also represents physicians, nurses, and other licensed professionals in matters before disciplinary and regulatory bodies, including the Medical Practice Board and the Office of Professional Regulation. He is also a frequent presenter on legal ethics, delivering seminars on ethics at the Vermont Bar Association Mid-Year and Annual meetings for the last several years.
In 2024, the Vermont Bar Association recognized Kevin for his service to the Association and its Young Lawyers Division. He currently serves on the Vermont Judiciary’s Civil Division Oversight Committee as its attorney representative.
