Senator Patrick Leahy announced today that he will recommend that President Obama nominate Sheehey attorney Eric Miller to fill the post of United States Attorney for the District of Vermont. Miller has practiced at Sheehey since 1999, and he is consistently recognized by national publications as one of Vermont’s top litigators. Miller has extensive federal court experience in criminal and civil cases, at both the trial and appellate levels. He also represents indigent defendants as a member of the Criminal Justice Act panel for the District of Vermont.
In his announcement, Senator Leahy said “Eric is eminently qualified to be the top Federal law enforcement officer in Vermont, and I am proud to recommend him to serve as Vermont’s next U.S. Attorney.”
